Step away from the pantry

So, if you're like me, there are times during the day when you find yourself just standing outside the fridge or pantry.  Staring.  Maybe I'll have some cashews.  Or a spoonful of almond butter.  Or three.  I sometimes think I have conquered this phenomenon, but when I get too stressed with the kids...sometimes it returns.  Mindless snacking.  It's like a drug, really.  You might think because I'm a health and fitness coach myself, that I am somehow immune to this, but I'm not.  And it really can wreck your healthy eating efforts, if you don't get control of it.  It's especially hard when you are feeding little ones.  They constantly need snacks, and generally, mom is the one in charge of those.  Handful of goldfish here, bite of a cheese stick, crust off a sandwich.  I know.  The number one way to avoid this, is to log your food and/or have an accountability partner.  Even though I hold others accountable as my job now, I still need someone to do that for ME sometimes.  I have my own coach, and my sister, who is like a second coach to me.  We all need cheerleaders to help us.  Just thought I'd throw that out there, in case you were thinking you were the only one who didn't have it all together.  And if you need some help - message me!!  It's my mission in life to help people with this stuff, so don't be shy.  I'd love to help in any way I can!  Stay hopeful, my friends!
